March-April 2014 Hauls

Starting with this post, I will be posting my latest hauls in the upcoming months. I used to post pictures of my latest hauls in toy forums mainly, in Pinoy Toy Kolektor at forumer or even at proboards.  However things have changed with the rise of Facebook communities in the Philippines. What happened to local forums is very unfortunate especially that the chronology of post in a specific title tread makes it more organized than a timeline facebook feature where old post from weeks or even days can be buried and difficult to access.

Posting hauls provides for some advantages for a collector. Aside from sharing your hauls to others, it also documents and keeps tracks of what you have. It also documents the chronology and how the collection has developed through the years. It is a way of checking when some collectibles were released or will be released.

Some of the collectibles will be featured in a more detailed manner in  future posts, especially the books. So, keep on visiting this page for more reviews and  insights in my  forthcoming posts.

Spider-man Artist Collection John Romita vol.2 by IDW

I love this book despite being expensive. It is the closest thing to original art as it tries to replicate the original version through high resolution scan.  This book is as big as those original art pages.  This is the 2nd volume of John Romita. I also have his 1st volume and  Gil Kane’s as well.

The set includes 2 movie figures namely, the ASM2 figure and  Electro.  The rest are comic based. The set I got are figures from the variant set.

Book on the Making of Amazing Spider-man 1 published by Marvel.

When ASM 1 was released, I was very disappointed that the movie did not have a book about its development and behind the scenes process especially that I have books from the Raimi Trilogy. I will post more analyses and insights in  forthcoming posts. So stay tuned.

Yujin Time Capsule Spider-man set

This set is rare so  I could not  believe my eyes when I saw a local collector  actually selling it and no one was noticing. This is a great set as it contains characters like Man Spider, Venom, Spider-man, Scarlet Spider, Carnage and Doppleganger.

Stephen Segovia Art print

This features one of the most recognizable scene comics. I love collecting Spider-man art from those who drew from Spider-man.

I was quite surprised to see this, but hey it looks exactly like those chibi Spider-man in the USM cartoon.

Jollibee Tumbler. This changes color with cold water.
